Kids Co-op Link Up (#16 for me)

Its that time of the week - Kids Co-op. Please link up your favourite kid based posts and stop by some of the others that catch your eye. Here is what I will be linking up this week.
(Goblin is 32 months)
Goblin has been doing a lot of imaginary play recently. To add to his play experience and include a bit of Montessori practical life I decided to set up a kitchen in the garden. I bought some plastic jars and filled them with sand, gravel and compost - its good motor skill practice undoing the lids and pouring the contents.
I also set out a big bowl, wooden spoon, mechanical egg beater and a jug of water. Goblin loved pouring all the ingredients into the big bowl and mixing them up.
In fact this game was such a hit that the next day I added some old espresso cups, and a pestel and mortar. Goblin declared that he was making soup.
And he even offered me a cup - mmm Yummy!

And now to the linky

I'm sharing this with

  2. I love the egg beater! That's something I need to add to our tools to choose from!

  3. I love outdoor activities ... and what a fun way to work on practical life skills! Thanks for linking up with Montessori Monday. I featured your post at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page and pinned it to my Outdoor Classroom Pinterest Board at

  4. Where did you find the egg beater with the handle on the side like that ?

    1. BubblySoup its just a regular one from Amazon (UK). They have lots if you type in egg beater.

I have decided to turn off comments on the blog as I am being inundated with spam. I do this with sadness as I love genuine comments from readers.
